Greetings, Super Users!

If you are reading this, you're among an elite club of °µÍøTV Website Editors.

You are trained in dotCMS and have access to varied website content sections and widgets types. You have the power to make beautiful and engaging webpages on °µÍøTV.edu. Use this guide to assist with creating and updating pages.

Super Users have access to most all website pages/content, and global features such as, header/footer navigation; contact cards; all widgets; profile/news streams; and specialty templates: ie: Academic Department Pages, Places Directory & more.

Power Users

Power User Resources

Power Users are trained in the dotCMS platform and understand how features in a selected section are maintained and may connect to other sections of the site.

01/24/34 — After Lessons Learned meeting and when the Training project is closed, feel free to let Breanna Gorski at bgorski@marywood.edu, in IT know directly if revisions are needed with the future Power User trainings.

Steps to activate a new Power User

(Updated 12/20/22)

  • When Marketing is ready to identify additional Power Users and trigger training, Marketing will open a helpdesk ticket with the following information
    • Name of Power User
    • Department of Power User
    • If this is a replacement Power User for the department, provide the name of the previous Power User. This allows permissions to be quickly replicated and the previous Power User to be removed.
    • Specific folders for access
    • Specific pages for editing
  • IT will then set up the permissions in dotCMS and activate the Approval Workflow for the identified pages
  • IT will open a child ticket to notify Ed Tech that training is needed
  • Ed Tech will then schedule with the new Power User(s) and provide training
